Welcome

The Ann Arbor Recorder Society (AARS) is a recorder consort in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We welcome participation in our musical group by all players of recorders and of other early instruments. Our repertoire covers the entire period from Medieval and Renaissance to Baroque.  The 2026-27 season begins in September.  Janet Cannon is our music director.  See the schedule below. 

NOTICE:  The Ann Arbor Recorder Society meets monthly on the second Monday of each month from September 2026 through June 2027.  Meetings take place in the basement music room at Zion Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor from 7:00-9:00pm. 

The Spring Workshop for 2027 has not yet been scheduled.  See the Special Events page for details as they become available.

The Spring Concert will take place in the Sacristy of Zion Lutheran Church on Sunday June 20, 2027 at 3pm.  Reception to follow the concert.

There is no charge to drop in and play at one of our monthly meetings. Subsequent meetings are $15 each.  Annual membership dues are $100.
